”French photographer Philippe Graton is our guest on the occasion of the release of his new book: "Livret Militaire; A photographic journal of the national service" (Filigranes Éditions).

According to the author, the book is a trace of a young Frenchman fulfilling his military service — like all young Frenchmen did since the Revolution — until the abolition of the mandatory military service by Jacques Chirac in 1996.”
