Heart blur

 

It’s still dark, you’re sleeping, I sense your body more than I discern it in this blackness. I want to photograph you, again, who cares if I can’t see a thing, I’ll frame you blindly, the pose is beautiful but the exposure is long, two seconds at maximum aperture, freehand, no trembling, no breathing; my heart’s drumming, even down into my fingertips, into the camera. It’ll be a blurry photo, who cares, it’ll be, and it’ll still be when we are not.
